onehundredthirtytwo

A late start loading Erik's car with my bike for a ride after work. I drove straight to Tennille's house and she led us out to the Columbia Slough, Smith & Bybee Lakes, and Kelley Point Park. I hadn't been to any of those, and the network of paved trails wound past overgrown marsh land, along freight train tracks, through concrete barriers, and over a road being reclaimed by meadow grasses. It was lovely and I can't wait to return to a particular spot-- a bridge over the slough between what appeared to be two abandoned train bridges. I got to chat with some beloved friends and I made it through two work project crises. That's about all I have to say about today.
