Japan day 1

It took nearly four hours from landing at Narita to get to our hotel. Part of that was redeeming our JR rail passes, waiting for the train to Shinjuku, the very long train ride,　and first going to the wrong hotel. We`re here for two nights, then we change hotels, so we got them mixed up. My impression from the plane was that this could be anywhere dry and brown. From the train, I kept thinking that anyone who likes wires, neon, tall buildings, and trains would love this place. More in a bit.
